“Effective Job Searching” Seminar for Residency Programs
A four hour seminar
that includes a 2-hour lecture on every aspect of effectively managing
the job market from initial goal setting and CV/cover letter preparation,
through avenues for finding and evaluating opportunities and the interview
experience, to making the final decision, contract negotiations and
making the most of the first days on the job. The lecture is followed
by a 30-minute question and answer session. The final ninety minutes
is spent meeting with each graduating resident individually for a
career consultation session. Each attendee receives a 65-page workbook
that includes pertinent articles, charts and samples as well as a
detailed US Salary survey. This seminar has been presented in Emergency
Medicine residency programs around the country to rave reviews and
is repeated, by request, every year at many of the programs.
Compensation Consultation
We will consult
with an employer, evaluate their current compensation program in comparison
to others in their region and research the department’s finances
and patient payer mix, then make detailed proposals for base salary,
incentive programs, medical benefits and insurance coverage, malpractice
and pension/retirement programs.

range from half a day to a full three-day seminar, that are tailored
specifically to each client and are accompanied by a comprehensive
