Highly rated, award winning healthcare system is seeking
talented EM residency trained physicians to contribute to their expanded
coverage initiative. In order to attract the top 2012 graduates and the best young boarded physicians they are offering an extensive front bonus package that includes the following:
- $20,000 sign-to-start stipend
- $25,000 sign-on bonus
- $10,000 relocation bonus
- Up to $100,000 in loan forgiveness
This employer provides a high quality, award winning work
environment that includes full specialty back-up, teaching opportunities and
the latest technology with bed-side ultrasound, EMR and scribe programs. Physicians see an average 2.2 – 2.4 patients per hour in a highly functional department that has a very strong triage component, a dedicated fast track covered by mid-level practitioners and an in-house hospitalist program that handles admissions. The trauma center is designated level 2 and annual census reached 75,000 between two campuses. This is a full EMS base command for both ground and air transport.
Positions are also open for an Assistant Medical Director and an Ultrasound Director. The new point-of-care Ultrasound Director will have the opportunity to oversee this initiative in departments other than the ED as well. Each position provides protected time at the same rate as clinical time.
Physicians work on 10 and 12 hour shifts on both single and double coverage with additional mid-level providers. The atmosphere here is very collegial with a
dedicated team of ED nurses and techs who work together for the highest levels
of patient satisfaction and clinical care. Patient turn-over times are excellent and the availability and attitudes of consults terrific.
New physician hires are guaranteed $180 per hour and enjoy good evening and night/weekend shift differentials that add up to at least $325K in annual cash earnings. An additional quarterly RVU bonus program adds over $20K making annual cash income over $345K. In addition a full, comprehensive benefits package provides full family health, dental, vision insurance, disability, malpractice plus tail coverage. The hospital also provides a 457, 403B and a substantial defined
retirement contribution that is based on a percentage of gross annual income
and invests in 5 years.
Full time is considered 1,728 hours, but physicians are given 4 weeks paid vacation and a week of paid CME time for a total paid leave quotient of 200 hours. There is also a $6K CME stipend.
